"IF YOU ARE CURRENTLY SIGNED INTO A TRAINING CONTRACT AS AN APPRENTICE, YOU ARE NOT ABLE TO APPLY FOR THE PROGRAM"

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

NAP’s entry requirements differ to a Traditional Apprenticeship.  You need to be able to provide evidence to substantiate that you have enough aligned background experience and/or skills to be able to achieve a minimum of 40% of trade requirements in a Recognised Prior Learning (RPL) assessment.

To Achieve the Required RPL Benchmark You Would Need to Be Either:

  • An Out of Trade and/or partially completed 2 years or more of an Apprenticeship from the Trades mentioned below or;
  • Ex-member of the Defence Force with aligned qualifications or skills or;
  • Have an aligned trade to one of the listed trades or;
  • Have worked as a Trades Assistant alongside a Qualified Tradesperson as per Trade list below for a minimum of 4 years

     

    "For those wishing to apply for either the Electrical Fitter/Mechanic or Dual Trade Instrumentation roles, please note that Trade Assistant experience is NOT recognised"
